In 2015, she returned to her role as lead in Law & Order Special Victims Unit which is a show from Wolf's other television franchise. She also began portraying the female lead Julia Wicker in the Syfy drama series based on fantasy The Magicians that year. Stella Maeve began to establish herself as a TV actress However, she also pursued her career in independent film. In 2013, she was awarded an award called the Robert Altman Spirit Award for the film Starlet.
